I&#039;m in the over 50 group and I loved your article:  it was packed with on-target responses.  I wanted to get some examples from you on how to answer the first three questions posed in #5.  With respect to an employer asking outright about age, I came up with: When we talk about age, it really is &quot;just a number,&quot; but in keeping with federal guidelines, I&#039;m sure you&#039;ll agree we should pass on this.&quot;  I came up with a few twists on that, but that&#039;s the jist of it. I tried to use a little humor, say something that might trigger this to the interviewer as a &quot;no-no,&quot; and to politely say &quot;move on.&quot;  Can you endorse something like this?
